Commercial & Community Facilities
Bay Area LISC is now recognized as a leader in commercial development training and technical assistance. Retail and office uses, community centers, health clinics, child care centers and other community-serving uses are all areas touched on in our training programs. Workshop topics include: Initial Project Planning, Design, Financing, Construction, Build-out of Tenant Improvements, Marketing, Negotiating the Lease, Property Management, Recruiting and Retaining Small Business Tenants. Moreover, we are increasingly providing technical assistance and financing for these types of real estate efforts. Our programmatic goal is to enhance the capacity of the nonprofit community development sector to address nonresidential space needs of lower-income people and neighborhoods.
