- Our Impact
Our work has always been driven by the understanding that every neighborhood and its residents should have the opportunity to prosper.
LISC works with community groups to help them build lasting partnerships with neighborhood residents, to engage them in identifying priorities, and support them by investing in community development projects that will make those communities better places to live, work and raise families
Over the last 20 years, LISC has participated in planning and development efforts throughout the City of Buffalo, spanning from Niagara Street to Bailey Avenue, from the University District to the Old First Ward. Our roster of partner groups continues to grow, but our focus on revitalizing low-income neighborhoods remains unchanged.

Buffalo’s West Side is a dynamic and diverse community – reemerging as a vibrant and desirable location after decades of decline.
LISC's work in the University District began in 2000 with a partnership with Kensington Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services (now UDCDA).
