LISC Names Michael T. Pugh as CEO
With 30 years of experience in banking, most recently as president and CEO of Carver Bancorp, Pugh will lead LISC’s national network of programs and offices, as well as comprehensive investment strategies that address gaps in health, wealth and opportunity across the country. “He is passionate about extending opportunities to people who have not had the chance to fully participate in the American economy,” said Robert E. Rubin, LISC’s chairman. “We look forward to him bringing his considerable skills to LISC to help us make lasting, positive impact.”
Cleveland grants $10M to Cuyahoga Land Bank for housing in Clark-Fulton, Central, Glenville and St. Clair-Superior
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland is using some of its last remaining money from the American Rescue Plan Act to bring new and renovated housing to parts of the city that have long suffered from disinvestment. The $9.9 million grant to the Cuyahoga Land Bank, approved by City Council this week, is intended to jump-start the housing market in locations that have attracted little private development.
