Accomplishments
Since 2000, the
Connecticut Statewide LISC program has provided over $3 million of financial
assistance to Connecticut CDCs. This assistance will produce 235 units of
affordable housing and a child care center in Stamford. The initial LISC investment will
leverage over $34 million of community development activity in
Connecticut.
The Connecticut Statewide LISC program grew out of a merger of the former New Haven and Fairfield County LISC programs. Through these three programs LISC has provided $4.7 million of investment to support the development of 661 homes, three child care centers and a major supermarket.
This development represents over $113 million of investment in Connecticut communities.
