Local Initiatives Support Corporation is a national non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting community-based development that will transform distressed neighborhoods and build stronger communities. LISC is now the nation’s largest non-profit community development financial intermediary with programs like Connecticut’s in 38 sites across the country and in rural areas.
Through the Connecticut Statewide program, LISC provides capital and technical expertise to local non-profit developers to create affordable housing, homeownership, commercial and community facilities. By investing in Connecticut’s community development corporations (CDCs), LISC helps to strengthen Connecticut’s communities.
