Andy Mooney has decided to stick around City Hall, after all.
In a Good Friday afternoon press release, Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel announced that Mr. Mooney, who has been "temporarily" acting as commissioner of the Department of Housing and Economic Development, will keep that post for good.
Housing and economic development used to be separate agencies, with a third city unit focusing on planning. But all were united in one office last year by outgoing Mayor Richard M. Daley, with the incoming Mr. Emanuel apparently having decided he likes that structure. Continued[+]...
