LISC Excited to Begin New Year in Peoria

Anika Goss-Foster is the VP of Sustainable Communities for Local Initiative Support Corporation, or LISC. The group announced they were coming to Peoria earlier this year. They're working with local companies like Caterpillar, to breathe life into distressed neighborhoods. LISC's Executive Director arrived in town this week. And a headquarters office is in downtown Peoria. LISC leaders tell us they're making progress, now, but their real work will really kick off in the beginning of the year.

Anika Goss-Foster: "We really want to see affordable houseing, new health clinics, new grocery stores, parks improve, that's really our goal. That's what identifies transformation for us."
