Greater KC LISC Supports Model School Program
August 29, 2008The Kansas City Star profiles the Swope Corridor Renaissance's Upper Room, a summer school program held up as a model for the country. Greater Kansas City LISC is providing a $1.3 million loan through its partnership with State Farm to help expand the program to 3,500 children by 2012.

Toledo School for Arts celebrates $1M upgrade

The Toledo paper The Blade covers the 10th anniversary celebration of the Toledo School for Arts, a nationally ranked charter school that integrates the arts with standards- based academic studies. This year's celebration also marked the completion of a $1 million renovation funded by Toledo LISC and the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority.
