This session covered the role of design in affordable housing development. It also served as the launch event for the Campaign for Excellence in Affordable Housing Design, a new initiative supported by LISC and the Fannie Mae Foundation to help providers of affordable housing understand the meaning and value of good design, and appreciate how a commitment to good design can help them in their work. The session provided an overview of what good design is, why it’s essential to affordable housing, and who’s responsible for making sure it happens.
