Experts:
Maelene J. Meyers, former activist and executive director, has been at the helm of organizations for more than 30 years, managing two of oldest community development organizations in the country. She turned her successful 1980s turnaround efforts from Hough Area Partnership in Progress in Cleveland, Ohio, to re-establishing neighborhood credibility as the executive director of Pittsburgh’s East Liberty Development, Inc., (ELDI) throughout the 90s into today.
