Getting It Done: New Tools for Communities

The conference will feature workshops, neighborhood nightlife events, community tours and roundtable discussions – sharing the tools and lessons from LISC/Chicago’s New Communities Program. There will also be a breakfast for LISC sites and their guests on Day 2 to discuss specific topics related to the role of LISC in comprehensive community development.

Conference begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 26th and ends at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 27th.

Who should attend?

The conference is aimed at practitioners – LISC program directors and officers, Funders, CDC staff, LAC members, Government partners, and Community leaders – those grappling with how to plan, fund, manage, and complete comprehensive community development initiatives – preserving section 8 housing, building a network of community gardens, attracting a new retail development, etc.

Conference Registration

There is a $100 registration fee. The fee covers the basic costs of meals and events for the two days. It does not include hotel accommodations. Hotel accommodations must be made separately.
