Affordable Housing Forum
May 13-14, 2008
Pittsburgh, PA

The Affordable Housing Forum is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the key elements of the development process and cutting edge techniques to revitalize and manage your assets.

Panelists in our opening session focus on evaluating your current portfolio and assets, maximizing internal strengths and partnership opportunities, as well as engaging community stakeholders in assessing growth and development opportunities.

Concurrently scheduled are two workshop series: the first track, designed for novice community developers, will focus on identifying and analyzing opportunities, the development process, financing options, and roles of housing authorities. The second session is for experienced developers and managers seeking public housing revitalization strategies, approaches to serving an aging demographic, and redeveloping or preventing foreclosures.

To conclude the forum, partnership opportunities will be discussed in a closing plenary. Like marriage, picking the right partner for the long road ahead is essential to success. Partner motivations and achieving maximum benefit from a relationship need to be analyzed before committing to a long trip down the aisle.

The Affordable Housing Forum is being sponsored by LISC, NEF, Fannie Mae and MARC-NAHRO and takes place from May 13-14, 2008 at the Pittsburgh Hilton.

The $99 registration fee includes lunch, a tour of model housing sites, and an evening reception. Rooms have been set aside at the Hilton at rates that include breakfast ($129 single, $149 double, plus tax and fees, pre- during, and post-event). Please register and reserve your room by April 12, 2008 to guarantee this rate.
