Young people across America will address important unmet community needs through service and service-learning projects as part of the 21st Global Youth Service Day, April 24-26, 2009. A program of Youth Service America, Global Youth Service Day is a public awareness and education campaign that highlights the amazing contributions young people make to their communities 365 days a year. Supporting youth on a life-long path of service and civic engagement, State Farm Companies Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of Global Youth Service Day 2009.
LISC is proud to partner with State Farm to support service-learning initiatives in cities like Duluth, where students will conduct the annual Spirit of Health Festival in celebration of Global Youth Service Day.
