Join LISC and the Local Government Commission for the 10th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth: Building Safe, Healthy and Livable Communities conference.
In these tough economic times when communities everywhere are struggling for fiscal survival, this timely conference will identify innovative ways to finance smart growth, explore creative techniques for reducing infrastructure and service costs,and provide concrete ideas for employing smart growth as a tool for economic vitality.
Appealing to many different disciplines, the conference will draw a national audience of local elected officials and city and county staff; professionals in planning, transportation, public health, landscape architecture, architecture, parks and recreation, and crime prevention; realtors, bankers, developers and builders; advocates for youth, seniors, equity and environmental justice, and walking and biking; labor representatives; school leaders and staff; environmentalists; and all others committed to building safer, healthier and more livable communities everywhere.
Call for Session Proposals
The Call for Session Proposals process is now underway for the 2011 New Partners for Smart Growth Conference program. If you would like to submit a session proposal for consideration for the conference program, please click here to obtain the submittal form and instructions. The deadline to submit proposals is June 30th.
An Action-Packed Program
The program will kick off on Thursday morning and continue through Saturday afternoon. Exciting tours of local model projects from Charlotte and the surrounding region will be featured.
