Charlotte Street in New York City's South Bronx was once the epicenter of urban blight. No longer. Today, well-maintained single-family homes line the street; property values have increased significantly; and families live in a safe neighborhood. In 1979, LISC started its work in the South Bronx and provided initial support to the redevelopment of Charlotte Street, and we continue to invest in the area today.
