Project Profile:
Solidifying a Partnership with the State: Connecticut LISC was chosen to manage the new $5 million Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) Non-Profit Site Acquisition Program. The fund will provide non-profit developers with access to acquisition financing for affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization. The capital, which comes from a $5 million investment by Citizens Bank, has been reserved for three non-profit developers working in Stamford, New Haven and Middletown. This investment is projected to support major revitalization projects that are expected to produce approximately 100 homes in these three communities. Five loans totaling $920,000 were closed in 2006.
