Archived webcast from 04/28/10, Part II of a two-part webinar highlighting LISC's deconstruction programs, strategies for addressing obstacles, and best practices from the field.

Description

Deconstruction--an environmentally-sustainable alternative to traditional demolition--can improve the safety & physical appearance of neighborhoods by removing blighted properties, and also offer an opportunity for residents to access green jobs training and career paths. LISC is working with local partners in several cities to design deconstruction workforce development and neighborhood revitalization initiatives; however, deconstruction efforts that achieve both of these goals can be challenging to launch, maintain, and scale up.

This two-part webinar highlights LISC's deconstruction programs, strategies for addressing obstacles, and best practices from the field.
