Overview
LISC is pleased to present a webinar to introduce two new technological tools created by our partner the East Baton Rouge Redevelopment Authority ("RDA") to assist municipalities and community groups to improve property management and federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) implementation: the Property Evaluation Tool, and the Mobile Property Evaluation Device. The Property Evaluation Tool (“PET”) is a web-based, user-friendly application to aggregate data on property condition surveys, real estate records, and demographic data. PET combines GIS mapping capabilities with simple custom queries that enable property information analysis and reporting.
The Mobile Property Evaluation Device (“MoPED”) is a mobile handheld application that allows iPhone and Android users to conduct property condition surveys from their PDAs, attach GPS coordinates, and send the information wirelessly to a master database. MoPED provides an easy way of keeping information current, including tracking progress and productivity.
