Madison Housing Authority (MHA) is a very small organization comprised of 6 staff members, located in the borough of Madison in Morris County, New Jersey. In 2010, MHA successfully transformed a firehouse built in 1903 into a brand new apartment for low-income seniors through an adaptive reuse of a historical site. Despite its small size, MHA's ability to be innovative, and to work with its community, provide an excellent example for other housing authorities who may not have access to variety of resources due to its size.
