Based on extensive research and interviews with over 50 participants in the charter school facility finance sector, the survey includes descriptions of financing products and geographic markets for the 21 private nonprofit providers currently active in the sector and two public-private partnerships that have recently been developed in Indianapolis and Massachusetts. The survey also details public initiatives, including explanations of and awardee information for two federal grant programs and three federal tax credit/bond financing programs as well as an exhaustive listing of all state-level funding, loan, and credit enhancement programs currently authorized in the 41 jurisdictions with a charter law.
