LISC is launching the Oramenta Newsome Community Development Fellowship, a 10-week, part-time, paid fellowship opportunity to get hands-on experience working on community development projects.

Throughout her life, Oramenta Newsome balanced a deeply rooted neighborhood orientation with a national perspective. As LISC DC’s Executive Director for nearly 25 years, she dedicated decades to making Washington, D.C. a global city that benefited neighborhood residents.

If you share Oramenta’s vision for Washington, DC to be inclusive, community-driven, and equitable, then you should apply.

If you are comfortable engaging in advocacy, working in coalitions, and talking to DC residents in LISC’s Elevating Equity neighborhoods, then you should apply.
