Neighborhoods NOW
Detroit LISC’s Neighborhoods NOW initiative is a comprehensive campaign that
provides new ways for Detroit LISC to work for greater neighborhood
impact. Investing over $38 million into the area since its start in 2005,
Neighborhoods NOW has four major focuses: the Strategic Investment Areas
initiative in the city of Detroit, the Metro Detroit Regional Investment
Initiative focusing on Detroit and its inner ring suburbs, organizational
development and capacity building, and the crucial issues of public policy and
land use.
Detroit LISC has broadened our investment and our partnerships to encourage the search for solutions to public safety, education, workforce development, child care, health care, business assistance, and other community issues. These efforts will help community based nonprofits and development corporations further revitalize their neighborhoods.
