3.16.2018

Please join us for lunch as we celebrate 21 years of helping neighbors build communities.

On Thursday, May 10, Duluth LISC is hosting it annual celebration luncheon at the DECC Harbor Side Ballroom for a luncheon celebration. This year’s theme is "Helping Neighbors Build Communities."

By focusing holistically on housing and other real estate, assets and incomes, economic opportunity, quality education, and safe, healthy environments and lifestyles, Duluth LISC has invested over $91 million into Duluth’s economy and neighborhoods, directly generating over $300 million in total development costs of investment in Duluth, along with seeding new ideas and building Duluth’s community development industry.

According to Pam Kramer, Duluth LISC Executive Director, “Duluth LISC serves as the backbone organization for transforming neighborhoods and lives in Duluth, developing local partnerships and teams to be successful. Duluth LISC looks to accelerate housing development citywide and to foster economic opportunity by supporting efforts that help people gain skills and businesses create living-wage jobs.”

This year's program features guests Duluth Mayor Emily Larson and Mary Tingerthal, Minnesota Housing Commissioner. The event will include lunch, a keynote address by Tingerthal, and the announcement of the 2018 Building Healthy Communities Awards. A sneak peek into LISC's work in Duluth showing neighborhood progress and partnerships will also be shared.
