LISC AmeriCorps

In just three years our local AmeriCorps program has deployed over 30 members to assist non-profit  organizations working to revitalize Greater Cincinnati neighborhoods. These dedicated individuals have contributed over 25,000 service hours: 

  • Helping individuals and families find and maintain affordable housing and avoid foreclosure;
  • Recruiting volunteers and organizing community improvement projects;
  • Providing outreach and access to resources for immigrant communities; and
  • Creating sustainable food systems that encourage health and nutrition.

LISC has leveraged $246,000 to fund the one-year deployments, which are also supported by grants from The Corporation for National and Community Service.
