Partners

For LISC and its partners, revitalized neighborhoods represent viable new markets with sales and investment potential in addition to a resident population contributing to the economic workforce. Revitalization means that marginalized communities and their residents are being brought into the mainstream and given every tangible reason to nurture their hard-won status as contributing and valued members of society.

Greater Miami LISC relies on important partnerships in the public, private and non-profit sectors to be able to effect meaningful change in distressed communities. Thanks to the support of our funders, Greater Miami LISC is able to respond to the needs of our Community Development Corporations (CDCs) in their work in building a foundation strong enough to support long-term neighborhood revitalization. Equally important is our Local Advisory Committee (LAC) which provides our office with valuable oversight and guidance on how to best impact the communities we work with. The work on the ground and the implementation of the revitalization process could not be done without the CDCs. These non-profit organizations are responsible for the development of physical, social and economic improvements in the neighborhood’s infrastructure. LISC’s partnering CDCs have made significant contributions in building affordable housing and commercial and industrial space in Miami’s most marginalized communities.
