LISC Supported Child Development Center Opens in Ivy Hill

United Vailsburg Services Organization developed and now operates the Vailsburg Child Development Center at Ivy Hill, a new preschool center for 210 children in Newark, NJ. LISC provided a $1.3 million construction loan, a $49,317 predevelopment loan, and a $48,000 recoverable grant for this project. >>

Parking Study Undertaken for Lower Broadway Commercial Corridor

A perceived lack of parking spaces and customer difficulties with the city’s single-meter for multiple spaces parking system fueled concerns in Lower Broadway's commercial corridor. Greater Newark & Jersey City LISC provided support to GNN Lead Agency La Casa de Don Pedro to conduct a parking study along the Lower Broadway commercial corridor. >>
