Programs
Jacksonville LISC assists locally-based, resident-directed CDCs in improving the physical and economic condition of their neighborhoods while also strengthening the organization's management and financial capabilities. LISC seeks to demonstrate that locally-based CDCs, when provided with technical assistance and access to financing, can successfully undertake the physical revitalization of their neighborhoods.
Jacksonville LISC's tools are technical assistance, training and financing to CDCs engaged in housing construction and rehabilitation, commercial and industrial development, and other economic development ventures. LISC funds typically provide the early capital and short term financing which is critical to implementing such development initiatives. LISC is also designed to bring private, corporate and foundation investment back into blighted neighborhoods.
