Community Development Awards

The LISC Jacksonville Community Development Awards are designed to publicly recognize and highlight the unsung heroes working hard to revitalize Jacksonville’s most challenged neighborhoods. The awards honor individuals, organizations and projects that enrich central city neighborhoods and recognize the essential role that non-profit and for-profit developers, community-based nonprofit organizations, and city government play in building communities.

The Awards recognize outstanding achievements in neighborhood real estate development and community building -- especially the achievements of community development corporations (CDCs), other community-based organizations and for-profit developers working to build healthier neighborhoods in Jacksonville’s urban core.

While many people are working hard to improve Jacksonville’s neighborhoods, their stories are often untold. The LISC Jacksonville Community Development Awards recognize the inspiring, innovative, and tenacious work of people who are improving the quality of life in our central city.

Finalists and winners are selected by an independent, cross-sector volunteer selection committee. The event is designed to bring together community and city government leaders, corporations, foundations, lenders, small businesses, developers and nonprofits to celebrate the best in community development.
