LISC is very pleased to have recently awarded $154,008 in NeighborhoodsNOW Implementation Grants to three organizations. These funds are a combination of national HUD Section 4 grants which LISC brings to Kansas City every year, leveraged with local dollars from corporations and foundations. These grants are helping the following neighborhoods achieve key milestones that they developed for their 2016-2018 Quality of Life Plans.

$61,708 to Downtown Shareholders Inc. for the creation of a flexible Pop-Up Business facility. In partnership with the Dotte Agency, this is an economic development and creative placemaking strategy, using an adapted shipping container to attract new business concepts to the area.
