An evening of the best local cuisine, unique entertainment and a stellar cast of community honorees highlight the second annual Thrive celebration on October 11th.
Among the special guests saluting the seven local community development heroes will be Maurice Jones, President and CEO of LISC. Jones, who is based at LISC’s national office in New York City, is looking forward to celebrating Kansas City’s achievements in strengthening neighborhoods and their families.
“It’s always a treat to visit the home of great food, music, sports teams and social enterprise,” said Jones. “Kansas City is one of our nation’s great cities, and I’m looking forward to participating in this annual celebration which honors the leaders and organizations who are making sure all residents get to enjoy in the region’s economic growth. This celebration is a true reflection of LISC’s commitment to affordable housing and economic prosperity for all Americans.”
