Core
Local Funding in Place
The first three year phase (2006-2008) of NeighborhoodsNOW is projected at $18 million. Funding comes from a combination of private and public sources, including commitments from many of Kansas City's leading corporations and foundations. Currently, local partners have committed over $4.2 million.
Initial funding from the Hall Family Foundation,
the H&R Block Foundation and the Greater
Kansas City Community Foundation cover all administrative costs for Phase I including the completion of the Quality of Life Plans in 2007. As such, all additional local funding will be 100% dedicated to programmatic expenses needed to implement elements of those Quality of Life Plans.
Phase II NeighborhoodsNOW fundraising will commence in the fourth quarter 2008 with a local fundraising goal of $4,300,000.
Greater Kansas City LISC’s leadership on community development issues, our track record of achievement in neighborhoods, our commitment to Kansas City’s urban core, and our knowledge of what it takes to be successful make us the logical and worthy recipient of support.
Additionally, all local funding is matched by National LISC through a combination of low cost loans and grant funds – $9.8 million in Phase I - providing local Kansas City area funders with an unparalleled opportunity to maximize their investment.
We value our donor's important and sustained commitment. Thank you!
