Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is a tax exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization aimed at improving communities within our urban core.
Greater Kansas City LISC relies on the invaluable input and support
of local businesses, organizations and individuals to assist in
our efforts to transform our neglected central city neighborhoods
into good places to live, work and raise families.
There are several
ways to support Greater Kansas City LISC:
- Become a
funding partner. Community development
takes significant investment
to create long-term sustainable change. Greater Kansas City LISC
participates in DonorsEdge through the Greater Kansas City Community

- Provide your business expertise to LISC through a committee
or board position. Professionals with expertise in business, finance
and accounting, strategic planning, marketing and human resources

- Volunteer opportunities are available with nonprofit CDCs, such as board of directors
or committee membership, project-specific activities, short-term
