LISC Los Angeles invites our partners to submit an application to host an AmeriCorps member for our next program year, which will begin on October 1, 2018.
LISC Los Angeles anticipates supporting the following number of positions in Los Angeles:
- 6 - full-time 1700-hour AmeriCorps positions
- 10 - quarter-time 450-hour AmeriCorps positions
The LISC AmeriCorps program seeks to provide our local, community-based partners the opportunity to implement community development projects that would not otherwise be complete. LISC AmeriCorps is one tool that helps our partners catalyze opportunity in the areas of employment, affordable housing, education, health, public safety, youth development, and building community leadership by developing local leaders. As a partner, you will provide critical support in acting as mentors and career coaches to the individuals selected to be members. Our hope is that this program will develop a more diverse talent development pool in the community development field.
LISC Los Angeles is highly interested in supporting organizations where the members will focus on:
- Financial Counseling
- Employment Skills Training
- Job Placement or Job Referral
- Housing Counseling
- Housing Physical Development
- Community Engagement Volunteers
- Community Assessment

If a host site is applying for more than one position, it should submit an application, service description, and goal worksheet for each position.

Service description (1700-hour positions or 450-hour position)
