LISC helps neighbors build communities

LISC Milwaukee transforms distressed urban neighborhoods into healthy communities of choice and opportunity—great places to work, do business and raise children. At the invitation of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, LISC opened a Milwaukee office in 1995 to support central city neighborhoods.

We accomplish this by:

• Working with neighborhood residents to create and implement Quality of Life Plans to meet their economic, safety, housing and educational needs.
• Establishing partnerships, collaborations and strategic alliances to secure financial resources, programs, and policies needed to achieve community goals.
• Measuring progress and communicating results to benchmark and share successful strategies.
