LISC AmeriCorps

The mission of the Milwaukee LISC AmeriCorps program is to place AmeriCorps members with local non-profit partners to assist in local efforts to revitalize underserved neighborhoods, creating vibrant places for people to live, work, and play. LISC’s AmeriCorps program seeks to attract talented individuals to serve for one year to help build organizational capacity and is committed to providing opportunities for people to serve where they live.
LISC AmeriCorps members’ activities are aligned with the priorities of Milwaukee LISC’s Sustainable Communities program, mainly in the LISC target areas for investment: Clarke Square, Harambee, Lindsay Heights, Layton Boulevard West and Washington Park.

- Community Program Educator - Washington Park Urban Ecology Center
- Volunteer Manager – Silver City, Burnham Park and Layton Park Neighborhoods, Layton Boulevard West Neighbors
- Neighborhood Associate – Washington Park Partners Initiative, United Methodist Children’s Services
- Volunteer Coordinator – Holton Youth and Family Center, Wisconsin Community Services
- Healthy Neighborhood Community Coordinator - Lindsay Heights Neighborhood Health Alliance, Walnut Way Conservation Corporation
