LISC National
What We Do

Business Financing

We provide financing from $10,000 to $5 million to small businesses across the country. Small businesses form the backbone of our neighborhoods, and their success means stronger local economies, more jobs, and a better standard of living for local residents.

We are a mission-oriented lender that strives to make the majority of our loans to minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses and businesses in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Many of our customers have been turned down for conventional financing and our loans often have more flexible credit requirements than a typical bank lender, including a lower debt service coverage ratio, fewer collateral requirements, and a lower minimum credit score.

How we provide financing:

  • We make small business loans on behalf of LISC through LISC Small Business. We currently participate in the Small Business Administration's Community Advantage and 504 programs, providing financing for working capital, real estate and leasehold improvements, equipment and inventory, debt refinancing, and business acquisitions.
  • We manage small business loan funds for other lenders, investors, foundations, and anchor institutions that would like to support local small businesses and serve a greater community mission: growing women- and minority-owned businesses, creating living wage jobs, increasing supplier diversity, and more.
