Project Director, Organizing Training Institute

Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development and New York Immigration Coalition seek Director for newly created community organizing training institute.  Institute will offer apprenticeship program and formal and informal trainings for grassroots organizers at all experience levels.  Director will be responsible for all aspects of program implementation and management.  The Director will report to and work collaboratively with an oversight committee of the two program partners and other stakeholders. Qualifications: Applicant must have a minimum of five years experience in training and technical assistance design and delivery, preferably to community organizations.  Strong program and financial management skills necessary, excellent fundraising skills required.    Experience in community organizing and leadership development is highly desirable.  The successful candidate will be self-directed and very productive.   Women and people of color encouraged to apply.  Salary: Up to $70,000 with very good benefits.  Please send resume, writing sample and cover letter describing interest and qualifications to ANHD, 50 Broad Street, Suite 1125, NY, NY 10004 or e-mail to benjamin.d@anhd.org  Posting open until September 30, 2008.
