Partners
LISC New York City provides financial resources and technical assistance to community based non-profit organizations engaged in community development activities. We are able to do this through the unique public-private relationships we have with our funders and investors, CDCs, city, state, and federal agencies, and other industry partners. We are better equipped to serve the community thanks to the invaluable support and guidance of our Local Advisory Committee and CDC Council.
Supporters
Thanks to the support of our funders, LISC NYC
is able to continue to respond to the needs of CDCs across the city at a
very critical time in the evolution of community development. Learn how you or your company can support LISC.
CDCs
Community development groups, more commonly known as CDCs
have made significant contributions to the
turnaround many neighborhoods, such as the South
Bronx and Harlem, have experienced during the
past several decades. CDCs are entrepreneurial, resident focused nonprofit
organizations responsible for the development and preservation of some 60,000
units of renovated or new, affordable homes and over one million square feet of
commercial space in New York City.
More recently, CDCs have become a crucial link for residents to social services
such as quality daycare, education and job training.
