Building Strong Cross Sector Partnerships

CBCR taps the resources of public, non-profit and community leaders to bring new approaches and resources to bear on longstanding crime challenges.

  • Pursuing Collective Impact: Each site’s CBCR work is managed by a team of diverse, multi-sector partners who build a common vision and structure for collaboration and resource deployment.
  • Sustaining Comprehensive Approaches: From Day 1, CBCR sites pursue ways to build leadership structures, political support and resources to shore up the cross-sector, community-oriented and research-informed approach to crime prevention that the program champions.
  • Coordination and Leadership: Managing a cross-sector process with many moving parts is a demanding job. CBCR sites are codifying decision-making structures and communication systems to aid accountability and effectiveness.
