Each month LISC CEO and president, Maurice A. Jones, shares his thoughts and ideas on community development topics.
We are kicking off 2019 with the launch of a new multi-sector fund, The Partnership for the Bay’s Future - a collaborative regional investment and policy effort to respond to housing needs and support vibrant communities of racial and economic inclusion across the Bay Area. Hear more about its launch and the coalition efforts it took to bring these funds about, from Maurice A. Jones, Morgan Harper and LISC Bay Area’s Executive Director, Cynthia Wong.
We’d like to thank our founding partners the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the San Francisco Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. We also extend our gratitude to the program’s other initial investors including Genentech, Facebook, Kaiser Permanente, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Morgan Stanley, and origination partners Capital Impact Partners and Corporation for Supportive Housing, all of whom were instrumental in this launch.
