LISC National

Who We Are

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is a national organization with a local presence: we equip struggling communities with the capital, strategy and expertise to become places where people can thrive.

In 2012, LISC was welcomed to Peoria with a generous $3 million foundational grant from the Caterpillar Foundation. Since then, Greater Peoria LISC has brought over three decades of best practices in community development to Greater Peoria and Central Illinois. We are dedicated to transforming distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities of choice and opportunity – good places to live, work, do business, and raise a family.
