LISC Supports Philadelphia’s Commercial Corridors

LISC Philly

Philadelphia LISC is pleased to showcase our community partners and their unique, diverse neighborhood commercial corridors. Creating vibrant, safe places to shop, dine, and play is essential to community development. LISC helped each partner develop a corridor promotional sheet with Real Estate Strategies, Inc. so they can attract investment to their neighborhoods.

Wyoming Avenue

Wyoming Avenue is a truly mixed-use commercial corridor with an employment base in wholesale and production, several community institutions, residential homes, and a diverse mix of retail goods and services establishments that serve the surrounding multi-ethnic neighborhoods. El Centro del Oro

The business district surrounding the intersection of North 5th Street and Lehigh Avenue has been recognized as the traditional center of Latino commerce, cultural, and social activity in the Philadelphia area. El Centro de Oro is home to the greatest concentration of Latino-owned businesses, cultural and arts institutions, and community service organizations in the region. El Centro De Oro is home to several international non-profit organizations, many third and fourth generation family-owned businesses, and residents descending from almost every Latino country. Download El Centro de Oro.


52nd Street - West Philly's Main Street

Traditionally known as "West Philadelphia's Main Street," the 52nd Street commercial corridor connects to multiple West Philadelphia neighborhoods, is centered on a major transit stop, and is home to more than one hundred brick-and-mortar businesses and dozens of sidewalk vendors providing goods and services to local residents. Download 52nd Street.
