Melissa Kim is responsible for our Commercial Corridor, Community Safety, and Creative Placemaking programs.
Before joining LISC, Melissa managed the Pearl Street Project at Asian Arts Initiative and directed community economic development programs at The Village of Arts and Humanities and the North 5th Street Revitalization Project.
Melissa serves is an Adjunct Professor of Planning and Community Development at Temple University. She holds a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning and Juris Doctorate from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College.
When not working, Melissa enjoys biking, exploring Philadelphia’s culinary offerings, and learning the art of fermentation.
