Rural LISC promotes economic stability across communities by focusing on developing the workforce skills of individuals.
Through programs and resources like the GO Youth Initiative, which improves academic and employment outcomes for Opportunity Youth (youth ages 16-24 not in school and/or not employed), and Financial Opportunity Centers, which provide financial education, career counseling and more to low- to moderate-income adults, Rural LISC takes a comprehensive approach to improving economic development and employment outcomes in local communities.
Rural LISC and its Partners in the Mississippi Delta region are creating system change through a program called the Greenville Opportunity Youth (GO Youth) Initiative.
Financial Opportunity Centers (FOCs) are career and personal finance service centers that help low- to moderate-income people build smart money habits and focus on the financial bottom line.
