LISC’s Managing Director of Strategic Investments, George Ashton, presented a webinar, “Opportunity Zones 101,” on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.  The webinar was an informative, rural-focused introduction to Opportunity Zones and their use in rural communities.  Opportunity Zones provide an innovative federal approach to bringing what could be billions of dollars’ worth of new investments to underserved rural and urban communities.  The profitable tax incentive and possibility of long-term investment in businesses and real estate creates a winning situation for not only investors but for those who live, work, and raise families in the designated zones.
