The report outlines potential actions that can be taken by CDCs seeking to find ways to work more effectively with investors in their communities and also provides case studies from New Haven and Phoenix.
  • Model Practices in Tax Foreclosure and Property Disposition: This case study about Indianapolis is the first in a series describing effective local efforts to return tax delinquent or vacant/abandoned properties to productive use.
  • Weathering the Storm - Community Developers in Minnesota Face the Foreclosure Crisis: Published in the January 2009 issue of Community Dividend by the Community Affairs Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, this report offers a close look at foreclosures in Minnesota and the ways communities are addressing the problem, individually and collectively.
  • Neighborhood Stabilization Program – Best Practice Case Studies: The case studies highlight two outstanding local housing authorities, San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) and Reno Housing Authority (RHA), which successfully utilized their HUD Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding to help the local communities expand homeownership and increase the number of rental housing stocks.
