The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides capital and technical assistance to nonprofit community development corporations (CDCs) that serve low-income communities in urban and rural areas across the country.
LISC relies on the generous support of individuals and institutions to assist CDCs in their efforts to transform distressed communities into safe and healthy places to live, work, and raise families. LISC accomplishes its mission through a range of National and Local programs, and we encourage you to support this important work with a tax-deductible contribution.
Because LISC spends only 15% of its expenses on administrative costs, you can be confident that your donation will go a long way toward improving the quality of life in low-income communities throughout the United States. To learn more about LISC's sound stewardship of funds, please review our most recent Annual Report.
There are two ways you can make a tax-deductible donation to LISC. You can:
- Donate to LISC using your credit card through the Network for Good. To contribute to a specific local or national LISC program, please enter the program's name under the "Designation" field on the Network for Good billing info screen.
- Print and fill out a donation form (PDF, 77 KB) and mail it along with your check or money order to:
