The construction of 10 new homes in the Lagrange Development area and 7 condominiums on the east bank of the Maumee River proved that economic diversity in housing can be successful. Both neighborhoods are a mixture of market-rate and low-to-moderate income households.
LISC connects our community to hope, one block at a time. The needs of our community are great, but the opportunities for positive change are endless. Please help ensure the continued success of LISC, an important local asset.
Since 1980 LISC has been helping community-based development organizations restore troubled communities and neighborhoods. The transformation results in good places to live, work and raise families.
As you think about how you can help, please bear in mind that for each $1 contributed locally, LISC has been able to import $20, directly to the community, through its network of national resources. In response to severe economic challenges we all are facing, LISC has already reduced its staff by 40 percent. In order to continue our important work, we need your help, now more than ever.
Toledo LISC has conducted an aggressive solicitation campaign this year, targeting all sectors of the community, including banking, large corporations, construction, insurance, health care, law firms and professional service companies, utilities, and foundations. LISC will soon embark on a personal solicitation campaign with the goal of raising money from individuals in the community who understand the value LISC provides to Greater Toledo.
