August is Back to School month! Below are two Money Tips of the Month to help you save on Back to School supplies:

1: Make sure to take advantage of “penny deals” where retailers have sales on school items with prices so low they barley break even. 

2: Take advantage of Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday which starts on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 12:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. During this period, the items below are exempt from sales & use tax:

• Clothing priced at $75 per item or less;

• School supplies priced at $20 per item or less; and

• School instructional material priced at $20 per item or less.
