Commercial Corridor Revitalization Program
For neighborhoods to be strong, along with affordable housing they need economic and employment
opportunities, and vibrant commercial areas that serve basic needs. To support this broader community development vision, LISC's Commercial Corridor Revitalization Program (CCRP) directs financial tools and technical assistance to five commercial corridors in the Twin Cities: Payne Avenue, Rice Street and Selby Avenue in St. Paul, and Central and West Broadway Avenues in Minneapolis.
In addition to funding, the CCRP initiative also provides technical assistance at the local and national levels. The LISC model considers design, business and community organizing, promotion/marketing and economic restructuring/real estate development as effective tools in redeveloping urban commercial corridors.
